This video showcases our approach to structural headers, where we skip the traditional half-inch plywood sandwich and instead use a half-inch foam piece for an R3 insulation value inside the wall. This technique supports the outer wall load, maintains structural integrity, and minimizes issues like drywall cracks. The result is a more comfortable, high-performing home.
