About Doug

Doug Cameron, Co-Founder and President of Render ATX, also serves as the General Contractor for each project. He maintains five points of focus for every project: team, sustainability, building science, artistry, and craftsmanship. The Render ATX health selectively takes on a limited number of custom projects each year so Doug can remain hands-on throughout each build. A true native Austinite, Doug Cameron (aka: #TheArtistBuilder), is extremely well connected within the local community encompassing people from all walks of life, as he was born and raised in the very neighborhoods Render ATX helps to shape and develop. Doug is a LEED Green Associate, a GBCI Green Building Professional, and a BPI Certified Building Analyst. He has an Applied Sociology degree from Texas State University with a Spanish Minor (completed in Costa Rica). Doug is a lifelong artist (who sold paintings to pay the bills in his early 20s), speaks Spanish fluently (having an affinity for the Latin culture), and has been an entrepreneur since he was 7 years old (starting with selling Coca Colas at Lion’s Municipal Golf Course). Doug is capable of cutting up and getting along with just about anyone. Having been raised around a playwright father and exposed to Shakespeare at a very young age, Doug truly has the gift of gab, along with a childlike imagination that enables completely out of the box visions and ideas. Doug is also well traveled exposing himself to old and new architecture and design from all over the world. For the past 15 years, he has been blessed to intertwine his art with holistic building science, and intention-based homebuilding practices allowing him to thoughtfully assist in shaping the rapidly changing face of Austin, Texas.

About Lillie

Lillie Cameron is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Render ATX. She works hand in hand with Doug and is the point person for business operations and project management on our custom builds; always keeping client’s abreast of schedule, budget, and project updates. Lillie’s career over the last 15 years includes leadership roles in software development, operations, project management, and entrepreneurship. After co-founding Render ATX and the housing market collapse of 2008, she spent 10 years at Rackspace as a Director working in the Cloud Computing and Engineering organization where she was responsible for over 100 personnel, a global project management office, software development, and 24x7x365 operations. In 2019, Lillie left her career in tech to dive back in to her and Doug’s original dream – building beautiful homes and being stewards to the Austin community. Since then, she has led Render ATX to design and build their own custom development projects and client projects. Lillie’s leadership and operational excellence background gives her a unique ability to drive efficiency and best practices. Fluent in Spanish, Lillie attended the University of Barcelona in Spain and Monterrey Tec University in Mexico. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas State with both a BAIS in International Business and a BA in Spanish. She also holds certifications from the University of Texas in Executive Management, as well as from the US Department of Commerce and the Latin American Business Council. She is also a licensed Realtor® and can assist with the full circle of real estate development. Personally, Lillie is passionate about animal rescue, building businesses locally, empowering women, creating beautiful, healthy, highly-functional homes, improving our local community, and exploring new cultures with her family – including two rescue pups and three kiddos.
